Hiiiii frnd today i will tell you the simplest trick to split the middle term of a quadratic equation
i seem to that many students get stuck in this problem and this problem was also a major problem for me
so,
this is a quadratic equation
x2+10x+24=0
so what m i will say hear it perfectly
first of all multiply the 1st term n 3rd term
1*24=24
now take 2 number such that
by multiplying we can get 24
[and if the 2nd sign is + so you must the number such that by adding them you must get 10
and if the 2nd sign is - so you must the number such that by subtracting you must get 10]
so the 2nd sign is +
so you must take the number such that by adding them you must get 10
they 6 n 4
6+4=10
n
6*4=24
and the again major problem is of sign but don't worry i have a simple trick for it
[if the 2nd sign is + you must give the sign of middle term to both the variables
n
if the 2nd sign is - you must give the sign of middle term to bigger variable n the oppiste sign to the smaller one
so,my equation will be
x2+6x+4x+24=0
so, now take the commom
x(x+6)+4(x+6)=0
now take the common bracket once n take the other variables in bracket
(x+6)(x+4)=0
so
either,
x+6=0
x=-6
or
x+4=0
x=-4
so the answers are (-6,-4)
so plzz comment n give me feedback at nikhilsuhani1@gmail.com
